Authentic Parisienne - Philippe Nouzillat's French Table
Remi de Provence Restaurant and Wine Bar
Hailing from La Rochelle in south-west France, Singapore based French chef, Philippe Nouzillat presented traditional French cuisine at its finest with a degustation menu using top quality Tasmanian produce alongside head chef at Remi de Provence, Joel Robert. Wines were expertly matched by Remi Bancal. Both evenings were hosted by leading food commentator and writer for The Australian newspaper, John Lethlean.

Deconstructed Dining - Hong Kong's Demon Chef, Alvin Leung

Alvin Leung, Hong Kong's famous Demon Chef delivered a degustation menu that shocked first and satiated later with Gordon Tso, head chef, Me Wah restaurant. Both evenings were hosted by leading food commentator and television personality Lyndey Milan.

The Cook and the Chef in Tasmania - Maggie Beer and Simon Bryant

Culinary icons Maggie Beer and Simon Bryant worked together for the first time in Tasmania to create a regional menu matched with local wines. While guests indulged in their culinary creations, Maggie and Simon talked about their passion for cooking with fresh produce, their television show and their 'foodie' lives. Guests had the opportunity to have their favourite Maggie cookbooks signed. The luncheon was hosted by Kate McGhie, writer, cook, reviewer, obsessive traveller and author of the award-winning Cook - recipes, stories and kitchen wisdom.

Molecular Sparks Traditional - Paco Roncero's Tasmanian Tapas and Other Delicacies

Spain's molecular gastronomist and two star Michelin Chef, Paco Roncero, from Casino de Madrid and the Club de Golf Retamares inspired awe with a degustation menu of unique textures and flavours alongside Philippe Jacques Leban, head chef, The Source. Guests departed Brooke Street Pier on the MV Excella, enjoying canapes on board before indulging in modern Spanish cuisine matched with the finest Tasmanian wines. This memorable evening was hosted by The Age Epicure food writer Richard Cornish.

Simon Bryant Raids the Burnie Farmer's Market
Burnie Farmer's Market
Guests met at the Burnie Farmer's Market, walking the fifty-something stalls with Simon Bryant while learning what to look for when shopping for local and fresh regional produce. Afterwards, Simon shared his closely-guarded recipe secrets at a cooking demonstration where he worked with the produce he sourced on the tour. The Burnie Farmer's is a reputable and established market attracting around fifty producers and growers to the Wivenhoe Show Grounds fortnightly with meats, cheeses, fruit, vegetables, spices, flowers and breads.

Simon Bryant's Burnie - A Regional Food Experience
Bayviews Restaurant
Well known for his co-star role on The Cook and the Chef with Maggie Beer, Simon brought to Burnie his fresh, down-to-earth approach to cooking and passion for fresh, local food. Guests joined Simon for a night of Tasmania's exceptional produce cooked with care and attention, matched with local wines. The evening was hosted by local food enthusiast Jason Purdie.

A Tale of Two Islands - New Zealand's Martin Bosley

A Fairfax media readers' event, guests were flown in to experience New Zealand's award winning Martin Bosley fulfilling his food philosophy; eat what's in season, what's local and what's fresh and let it please the eye and the palate. Martin created a delicious luncheon with the very best of Tasmania's produce, matched with local cool climate wines. Joining him in the kitchen was head chef Craig Wills.
