Savour Tasmania is set to ignite the imagination once again with amazing displays of culinary creativity over two weeks in May in Hobart, Launceston and Burnie.
Come and share the tantalizing possibilities as we take you on a culinary journey with international and local chefs as they work their magic with Tasmania’s pure and world-class produce.
Since its inception in 2009, Savour Tasmania has aimed and succeeded at positioning Tasmania as an island provedore, nurturing produce of unparalleled quality and delivering sublime eating experiences. Our guest chefs have delighted in being part of a food festival that shines the light on passionate Tasmanian food producers who deliver the ingredients for their gastronomic creations.
The Savour Tasmania Saturday Feast of Chefs
Savour Tasmania 2012 offers a particularly special and unique event that showcases the talents of 60 global chefs participating in the Meat and Livestock Australia’s Black Box Culinary Competition Global Final together with Melbourne’s maestro of Spanish cooking, Frank Camorra, and a selection of Tasmania’s home grown culinary masters.
In a one time only dinner held at Princes Wharf # 1 on Saturday evening May 26 and hosted by Iron Chef Australia’s Richard Cornish, chefs will create a taste of international cuisines in five delicious courses. This spectacular event will showcase Tasmania’s finest produce in an informal yet celebratory format that will promote a carnivale atmosphere. It will feature roaming dishes and stands of delicious produce that will offer tastes of local chocolate and cheeses to name a few temptations. Chefs will mix with the crowd and share their cooking secrets with the guests.
A memorable food event that will highlight some of the best young talent in international cuisine combined with the best Tasmania has to offer. Tickets are likely to book fast so watch this space to reserve your place.
